The “official" drink of the Kentucky Derby, it is said that mint was planted outside the clubhouse of Churchill Downs so that Mint Juleps could be served at the first Derby in 1865. Today, while there are variations on this iconic cocktail recipe, in it's truest form, bourbon, sugar and mint are mixed together like a perfectly boxed trifecta bet. Regardless the outcome of a race, this trio is always a winner!
